Where is Foothills Gear Garage located?
We are located at 140 Fiddlers Run Blvd, Morganton, NC 28655. You can find us just seconds off Interstate 40 at Exit 104.
What are your store hours?
March – December: Tuesday – Saturday (10:00 AM – 6:00 PM) and Sunday (12:00 PM – 5:00 PM).
January – February: Wednesday – Saturday (10:00 AM – 6:00 PM) and Sunday (12:00 PM – 5:00 PM).

Can I have gear shipped to me?
While you can browse and purchase our inventory online, all items are currently for In-Store Pickup only. We do not offer shipping at this time.
Consignment & Selling
How do I consign my gear?
You can bring your items to the shop anytime during our regular business hours. No appointment is necessary. All items must be clean, functional, and free of damage.
How much will I get paid when my items sell?
Items sold under $1,000: 50% to the consignor.
Items sold over $1,000: 60% to the consignor.
Bonus: Choose store credit for an extra 5% bonus to your balance.
Items sold over $1,000: 60% to the consignor.

Does the price drop if an item sits on the shelf?
Yes, we use a scheduled discount system:
- 31–60 days: 10% off
- 61–90 days: 25% off
- 91+ days: 50% off or more
- 31–60 days: 10% off
- 61–90 days: 25% off
- 91+ days: 50% off or more
Accepted Items
What kind of gear are you looking for?
We focus on high-quality outdoor equipment including technical apparel (Patagonia, Kuhl), camping gear (tents, pads), internal frame packs (30L-65L), fishing gear, and modern bicycles (under 5 years old). Please check our consignor page for the latest updates!
Are there items you won't accept?
We do not accept department store brands or outdated equipment. Helmets must be less than 5 years old. Electronics must include working batteries for a function check at drop-off.
